Surely the title of this article will instantly send you into a whirlwind of day dreams as you picture the perfect life on the perfect continent. But a dream so beautiful simply cannot be possible right? This is the mindset you need to get into if you are looking to get paid to travel and work and travel in Europe. In this new age filled with technology and opportunity, it is more possible than ever to make your move abroad dreams come true.

Europe is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, and the job opportunities are endless. It is not a coincidence that most people dream about going on a European holiday or retiring in Europe. This leaves millions of people around the world constantly debating, thinking and trying to find potential ways to earn while experiencing the beautiful locales of Greece, Rome, Paris and Prague.  What you need to know is that your dream of landing the best job on earth, finding a way to get paid to travel, and work in your dream destination is an absolute possibility.

The world has shrunk and the global economy has opened up. Thus, it seems that everyday there are many new employment opportunities abroad, created in a variety of professions, for people of alternate nationalities to shine. Most of Europe is Non-English speaking even though English is the most widely used business language, so right away you have an opportunity to work abroad as an English teacher, a business consultant or as a travel agent. Romania, France, Spain, Italy, Rome, the Czech Republic, Greece and Germany are all sparkling destinations that have an abundance of job opportunity and quite a few jobs for people that are interested in becoming an English teacher.

If you are considering traveling on your own expense through Europe you have to understand just how expensive it can get. The true European experience is not complete until you have spent a good amount of time seeing the sights, touring around and taking in the weather, culture, food, festivals, traditions and most importantly the people.

Working as a Travel Writer in Europe

Another great job, which offers you the opportunity to move abroad, is that of a Travel Writer. Yes, if you are good at minting words and have a flair for writing down your experiences then there are many travel companies, agencies and hotels in Europe waiting for you to write for them. This job will require you to visit various cities and even different countries while exploring them to the fullest and writing highly descriptive and engaging literature. The companies that hire travel writers pay for the entire cost of traveling, boarding, accommodation and meal charges for the writer, apart from a fixed separate pay which can be as high as $2,500.

Teaching English in Europe

The salary of an English teacher can be anything from $2000-$5000 depending upon your credentials. The demand for English teachers in Europe is growing especially for native English speaking teachers who have university degrees and some sort of TEFL or TESL credentials. If you already have a bachelor’s degree then you already have your foot in the door. Getting a TEFL certificate is now easier than ever and there are a plethora of programs on the internet that are quite affordable.

While something like $900 spent on a teaching course may seem like a lot of money, it can instantly up your pay rate quite considerably and be a great long term investment. Many schools, universities, shops, businesses and other establishments are hiring people from the United States, Canada and other native English speaking countries. You can take a long break from your regular job and travel abroad to get paid and work as a language teacher.

The Hospitality Industry in Europe

Another great opportunity comes via the hospitality industry in Europe, which is a very huge business. The number of English speaking travelers is rising constantly and the hospitality industry on the continent is looking to employ people who are kind, courteous and enjoy speaking English while serving their guests and working with people. The remuneration offered is lucrative and makes it very possible for one to afford to live in Europe.

Preparation is the Key for Moving to Europe

There are many websites and online portals where you will find a huge listing of such kinds of jobs. All you need to do is a little bit of research, a little bit of preparation and a little bit of planning. If you are sitting there thinking that you are sick of your boring desk job but don’t have what it takes to land a job abroad, you are wrong. There is opportunity right outside of every doorstep all you need to do is get out there and find it. That perfect job abroad isn’t going to show up in your mailbox. Figure out what you want in life, what kind of job you want, where you want to live and simply go for it. Preparation and determination are the keys to your success abroad. Before you run up to your current boss and tell your company to take the job and shove it, make sure you have everything ready to go such as your Passport, Visa and other things.

Finding the Job Abroad that you Want

If you are looking for the job of a travel writer, having a portfolio will help you a lot. The English teacher job abroad will be good for those who have a degree in English or in literature. But do take some preparatory or teaching material with you. The hospitality industry suits you if you have experience in the industry, are outgoing and enjoy working with people. Find your niche, go after what you want and get ready to get paid and travel. Your dreams can come true and opportunities to move and live abroad in Europe are around every corner.

The Perfect Combination of Island Living and the Comforts of Home

The Perfect Combination of Island Living and the Comforts of Home

Widely considered one of the most beautiful islands in the world, Puerto Rico is a great vacation destination for both the individual and family traveler. Located in the North Eastern Caribbean, the commonwealth boasts a vibrant culture, and no shortage of things to do for tourists, as the country has an eclectic mix of both Anglo and Spanish elements to its lifestyle. Commonly known as the island of enchantment, more than a million people live in the metropolitan area of San Juan, with another 3 million people make their homes in the suburbs.

What to do Once you Get There

Once you land on the island at the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (ranked #34 among all airports in the United States) there are plenty of beautiful resorts that will offer you a relaxing getaway. If you book well in advance, accommodations for a couple and 2 kids ( Although it is not recommended for younger kids to stay at this hotel as the amenities are largely for those above the age of 16) to stay at the Hotel El Convento for a week will cost you under $2000 US, pretty good for a 4 diamond resort!

Speaking of amenities, the El Convento includes a daily manager’s reception of wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres. Not to mention that the plunge pool and Jacuzzi offer amazing views of San Juan Bay. Once you’re done taking a dip there are 4 great restaurants to check out that offer tapas, Italian and Puerto Rican inspired cuisine.

Splendid Beaches and a Bundle of Activities

If a day at the beach is more your style, and who would visit Puerto Rico without wanting to burytheir feet in the sand?, you could sign up for the El Convento Beach Club, which allows you to check out the company’ssister resort in the Candado region of San Juan while still enjoying the same amenities you signed up for at El Convento.

In Need of Something More Affordable?

If a 4 diamond resort is out of your price range or just really not your cup of tea, Puerto Rico includes all of the major hotel carriers well established in North America, including the Holiday Inn, Howard Johnson, Hilton, Marriott, Renaissance and Sheraton.

While enjoying your stay on the island, the majority of resorts in Puerto Rico will offer you access to beaches, scuba diving, a golf course, spa, casinos and pools/hot tubs. However, price ranges and packages offering these activities do vary between resorts, so make sure you do some good research before you commit to something.

Unique Excursions and the Perfect Itinerary

If you prefer to book your own excursions outside of enjoying traditional resort amenities, a scuba diving experience for you and two of your friends can be found for only $150 US. If aquatic adventures aren’t your style, you can go zip-lining in the rain forest for less than $150 per person, or treat yourself to a nice individual massage by the beach for just a third of that cost.

All in all if you’re looking for a vacation destination, or a place to call home, that’s full of white sand beaches, tropically inspired meals for your taste buds, and no shortage of sites to see and activities to explore, Puerto Rico is definitely the place to be. The best part for many expatriates looking to escape routine and move abroad is how easy it is to get there, the abundance of employment opportunities and the ease of the entire Visa process on the whole. While most Caribbean destinations demand that US citizens have passports to enter, Puerto Rico does not and is an open gate to freedom for many people. Essentially it is the perfect mix of exotic destination and comfortable home that will allow you to ease into the process of living offshore and settling into something that is just a little out of the ordinary.

Landing a Job in Hawaii

Planning to stay in Hawaii for good? The fact that Hawaii is one of the most visited places on the globe all year ‘round makes it possible for you to establish whatever business you have in mind very easily.

On the other hand, if you’re the type who doesn’t want the pressure of running a business but still wants to earn lucratively, here’s the sweet deal – according to the State of Hawaii, between 2004 and 2014, Hawaii will create about 8,720 jobs every single year!

Earning $145,000 every single year – how does that sound? Cool? If you’re an anesthesiologist, an internist, or surgeon, earning that much annually won’t be a problem for you. Of course these kinds of jobs are not available for everyone, but it’s nice to know that the option is there for those of you that are fortunate enough.

On the other hand, if you are looking for work as a personal and home care aide, network systems analyst, pharmacy technician, interpreter, or translator, then here’s the sweet news – these are the fastest growing jobs in Hawaii…showing a growth of 28-42%!

The fact is that Hawaii has become known as the perfect mix for expatriates looking to get away. You can ease into your new life and do everything and have everything that you did when you were home. The only difference is that everything will be just a little bit better.

Break free, pursue new opportunity and wake up to the gentle sea breeze, the soothing sound of the ocean waves lapping at the shore and the smell of fresh coconuts being cracked open every morning. Work? What’s that?

*How To Live And Work Abroad In The Philippines*

Posted by Drew On June - 22 - 2009
The Perfect Life Abroad Can Be Found In The Philippines

The Perfect Life Abroad Can Be Found In The Philippines

Philippines – known as the Pearl of the Orient Seas and the home of the mighty Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao who explosively gained the “Pound For Pound King” title, boasts many of the best attractions that you simply cannot find anywhere else. While it is best known for its sandy, white beaches, limestone cliffs and pristine lagoons, there is also plenty of opportunity for people who are looking to escape their mundane lives and find employment abroad. Imagine finding a way to get paid to travel and tour around the magnificent sights within the Philippines? It is hard to picture anything better, isn’t it?

*Attractions In The Philippines*

So getting a tan, bathing in the ocean, water skiing, other water sports or everything mixed in together seems like your cup of tea? If you answered yes to that, then there’s no better place to go than to the Philippines. Spanning about 300,000 kilometers squared and composed of more or less 7,000 islands in total, you won’t run out of beaches, resorts and tropical attractions to visit.

If you love taking a deep and relaxing dive from a steep cliff all the way down to the ocean, visiting Cebu and Panglao, as well as Balicasag (which have been renowned for their excellent diving spots) is in order.

It’s of little wonder why nature and wildlife lovers, people on their honeymoons, and adventurers from all corners of the globe flock to this country all year ‘round. However, among the beaches that the Philippines has to offer, the world-renowned White Beach located at the Boracay Island is the most visited and it’s  really no surprise as to why.

The beach itself can be described as an oxymoron. It turns from a relaxing and soothing beach during the day to a lively and entertaining villa at night. When nighttime comes,  the Boracay Island turns into a jam-packed and energetic bar and club where you can meet the most hospitable and approachable people around from all different walks of life.

*Job Opportunities in the Philippines*

Just as rich as its tourist spots and attractions, there are more job opportunities in the Philippines than the population can handle. No matter what your age, experience, or expertise is, a look at the local job finder websites and classified ads will show you that there are companies and firms who need you and the overseas expertise that you can bring to the islands.

Data entry, content writing, graphics design, and everything in between – if you are an expert in any of these areas, expect to land a job in the Philippines within a week or two. Unlike some other destinations though, you probably have a better chance of landing that dream job abroad by heading there yourself and inquiring in person. That is of course, unless you intend to make a living online, which more and more people seem to be able to do these days.

However, what made this wonderful country popular when it comes to job opportunities is the fact that it has gained 20 percent of the world’s market share in the call center services industry alone. Sure a job in a call center may not sound like the groundbreaking career opportunity you have been looking for. However, when you work short hours and get to stroll along a pristine beach on the way home, it makes up for everything else. Just ask the locals.

And that was way back in 2004…you can expect these figures to have gone up by a mile by now. Matter of fact, it is predicted that when 2010 steps in, Philippines will generate a whopping income of $13 billion from the call center industry alone!

It is getting harder and harder to ignore the Philippines as the perfect destination to live and work in abroad. The opportunities are there, the people are friendly, the culture is riveting and the atmosphere is simply splendid. As with all major decisions though, you should always visit the destination you are looking into first, before packing up all your things and finding someone to take over your car lease.

Take a much needed vacation, scout things out and make sure that the Philippines are really perfect for you. Chances are that you will instantly fall in love, but moving abroad is not something that you want to take an uneducated risk on.

Nature, Beauty and Opportunity in One Dazzling Destination

Nature, Beauty and Opportunity in One Dazzling Destination

If you are fed up with the monotonous work schedules of your life or if you are looking to step on the stairs of prosperity and progress, then there is no reason as to why you should not consider Costa Rica as your next destination; not only for a visit but for a permanent migration. Costa Rica, the country located in Central America is a nice place to settle in. Costa Rica is a country that boasts a literacy rate of over 95% literacy rate and the country’s economy, after a slow growth in the recent past, has been able to catch up to a good pace which has provided plenty of opportunities for trade and business. However, take the fact that Costa Rica is no exception to the current global recession with a grain of salt.

Throughout its history Costa Rica has witnessed a lot of foreigners who not only migrated to the country but also became elite members of the society. However there have also been cases where the foreigners have encountered conditions that are miserable for them. Thus a prudent person can find the country to be filled with opportunity and bask in the impressive culture, on the other hand a negligent one can encounter some of the toughest times of their life.

From a school student to a retired person, Costa Rica offers flourishing lives for all. The growing economy of the Republic of Costa Rica provides a great platform for people from every sector. The government offers various tax exemptions for those who look to invest in the country. The property and investment taxes are less than others when compared to that of other parts of America. However to get into a business here is not everybody’s cup of tea. Numerous leading Global Corporations such as Intel, P&G and GlaxoSmithKline carry out the production in this country. These account for a major share of the country’s export ratio on the whole. The government inviting initiatives of tax exemptions have attracted major companies such as these to establish their production centers in the country. Essentially this provides people, such as yourself, who are looking to move abroad with some excellent opportunities for employment as well.

Costa Rica is a paradise for those who are retired and looking for a calm and pleasant life. However a lot of people look to Costa Rica and come up with false expectations as they are looking to earn side income. A large number of the people that relocate to Costa Rica are the ones who already have fixed incomes and do not work. Business can make your life complicated. However Costa Rica provides you numerous opportunities to pursue your hobbies, and if you already have steady income then it can provide the perfect, relaxing and luxurious lifestyle that you are after.

Costa Rica is a country whose culture is rich with versatile traditions and is very interesting. If you are a South American, you will find a lot of parts to be in common with your own culture. With that said there are also many westernized areas and simple comforts that can make expatriates from all over the world feel comfortable. You will not find it difficult to adapt according to the local culture. There are also numerous tourist sites to visit in the country that will keep you entertained and in awe of the attractions that surround you. The Country boasts the Poas Volcano crater and Cocos Island which are some of the main tourist attraction points. The Coos islands are a world heritage site.

The country has some dazzling sites that can help you relax, get in touch with yourself and nature and also allow you to remove the monotony that has been generated out of your daily routine. Thus, the bottom line is that Costa Rica offers you a great residing and working place. A little caution is all you need to make the most of the place and lead a happy and prosperous life. Prepare yourself, educate yourself and dedicate yourself to a happy, relaxed and entertaining life abroad. The perfect life in Costa Rica will not come easy, but in time and with enough work you could be living in the lap of luxury in the middle of a tropical paradise filled with beauty and covered with rainforests.

Preparation is the Key for Success when Planning a Move to England

Preparation is the Key for Success when Planning a Move to England

Everyone considers relocating at some point in their lives. For some it may just be a thought, but others work hard to follow through with the idea. One destination that many people, especially those from North America, consider moving to is England. There is a lot to see, partake in and enjoy in England and from the outside it looks like an amazing place to live. However it may not be as easy to make the move as you initially think. This is why preparation for living abroad and knowing what to expect ahead of time can help out a great deal.

Choosing Where to Move to Move to and Live

There are many different areas in England you can choose to relocate to. The cost of real estate will vary drastically depending on the location that you choose. One of the most sought after places to live in England would be London. London is the capital of England and the capital of the United Kingdom as well. There are many great areas to live in the Greater London area, but keep in mind that it is also one of the most expensive places to live in the world.

Prepare for Some Severe Changes

If you are not prepared to live in an environment with such high living costs, low employment wages and high unemployment rates, then you may want to choose somewhere further outside of the main areas of London. Somewhere like Brighton may be more desirable if that is the case. Also, as a rule of thumb, the cities further North of London are generally cheaper to live in, so places like Newcastle or Durham may be a good choice as well.
Also be careful choosing which location of England you want to move to as some areas are dangerous to live in. For example, Peckham has serious racial diversion which can cause racial tension and possible confrontations that you may not want to be involved in.

Getting a Visa

After you determine where in England you want to move to, it’s important to find out if you are qualified to get a visa. When you visit a country on vacation you can automatically receive a tourist visa. This will allow you to visit for half a year without needing to actually work in the area. With a tourist visa you are not eligible for NHS provision so you could end up waiting a long time at a hospital for assistance if you have a non life threatening health issue.

Whether you want to live in England permanently or you just want to move there temporarily it’s important to get your hands on an actual visa. In order to work in England you will need to get a visa, and to actually get a visa you must find a job before you relocate to the area. If you work at a company with a branch in England, and are lucky, you could ask to be relocated. Applying for jobs in England via the Internet is also an option.
It’s a big change to make a move from your country to England so make sure you are fully prepared for the move. Preparing for any items to be shipped and getting your pets ready for the move can take a while, and can be stressful. It will take a lot of research and effort to prepare the move so be dedicated to preparing for the process before you decide to go.

There are many things to consider before making your final decision on whether you deciding to move to England is the right decision for you or not. People talk, dress, and act different in England than they would in your country so you have to adjust and prepare for that way of life. For some it may be an easy decision, but most will have to question their motives and decide whether it will benefit them in the long run or not.
